Baked Beefburgers (of awesomeness)

This isn't going to be one of those extravagant and over the top meals. It is just honest to yumminess comfort food. The "recipe" itself is pretty basic and can be altered for just about any ingredients. The general idea here is that our favorite foods taste pretty awesome when baked at universal temperature (350 degrees)

12 pack of cocktail buns - split and butter
2 lbs. ground chuck
10 slices of Muenster cheese
1 can of French Onion soup
1 can of beef consomme
3 T cornstarch
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp rosemary

Brown the hamburger and add the seasoning. Combine the two cans of soup and the cornstarch in a bowl and simmer with the browned hamburger for 10 minutes.Toast the cocktail buns (shown above) and line a 9x13 baking dish with them.

Pour the hamburger mixture over the top of the buns and add top it with cheese.
Bake at universal temperature for 10 minutes and then turn it to broil for 2- 3 minutes (just enough to make the cheese a beautiful and bubbly brown)

Looks pretty huh? Even better on the plate:
All in all it takes about a half an hour to make. The result is the best beef burger I have ever had. Nice and juicy - the kind you have to eat with a fork. This dish is kid tested and approved.

So This is Another Lame Food Blog

Disclaimer: I am, in no way, professionally trained. I am not a chef. I am a food enthusiast and a creator of culinary whimsy. There is a big difference. I don't believe in recipes. All "recipes" are approximations.

I love to cook, create and share the joys of good food with other people. While there are times I have been financially compensated, it isn't a profession...yet.

My husband and a few friends have pushed me to do a little more with this culinary adventure and I frequently asked for my recipes. From bon-bons and cupcakes to brisket chili and chicken & noodles - stuff you have thought about and things that are entirely off the wall. You can find it all at Valhalla's Kitchen.
